Welcome to the Online Activation Training!

God is moving in our neighborhoods and city, so we want to respond to His call to join Him!

This course includes two sections. The first section explores five critical areas to evaluate how we are creating space for God to move in and through us as His people. This should only take you about 90 minutes. The second section is a step by step process to start putting these principles into action! We will lead you through four activation activities to practice over the course of one month. 

At Activate International, we want to do everything we can to help the global Body of Jesus move step by step through God’s activation process. How great is our God! May we continue to worship Him in word and action!

Let’s consider this picture for the need of church activation:

Building Bridges

Around the world, we’ve found two disconnected realities in every city. The first reality is amazing. There are pockets of believers—sometimes big, sometimes small, but either way they are following Jesus and being transformed by Him. This is so exciting to see and experience! God is so good, and He has made a way through Jesus for us to be reconciled with Himself! How great is it to be part of His family? We are saved, adopted into the family of God, and now exploring life in His Kingdom. We are learning to live within the best life possible!

But the second reality often lives right down the street. People are in desperate need of belonging to a healthy community. Those in our neighborhoods and city are navigating many forms of poverty. We know that poverty is multifaceted. So they may be experiencing a spiritual poverty of not knowing Jesus. Or maybe an emotional poverty of being alone and disconnected—especially after going through a global pandemic. Perhaps it’s a physical poverty of continually struggling to have or provide the most basic necessities for their families. 

Whether spiritual, social, physical, or emotional poverty, so many people are hungry for more.  And again, down the street, the people of God are being filled and transformed through being adopted into the greatest, healthiest community possible! How can these two realities coexist next to each other, and what can we do about it?

It’s time to build Kingdom bridges of transformational communities! 

God has supernaturally gifted His people to lead others into His transformation. But our greatest challenge can be making sure we’ve created space to join what God is doing! 

When we use the term “activation” we are referring to the process of obediently saying, “Yes” to God’s call. He has already empowered and gifted us to follow Him. May we say “Yes!” to our Lord and create the time and space to follow Him together!

Activation: Create space to join God’s mission

God is building His family. 

Create space for God to teach us how to practice being His family to each other.

God is activating His people. 

Create space for God to show every man, woman, and child what it’s like to be used by Him.

God is reaching our cities.

Create space for God to bless those in our daily lives, love our neighbors, comfort the marginalized, and move throughout the rest of the world.

God is drawing people to Himself. 

Create space for God to guide us in introducing people to Himself through conversations, relationships, and discipleship.

God is demonstrating His Kingdom. 

Create space for God to move through His people as His body in neutral-space communities, without people being distracted by unfamiliar Christian traditions.

We will now start exploring these five critical areas of activation. We will have a section to watch, read, pray, and reflect for each area. Let’s get started by diving into the Overflow.
