We have been adopted into the family of God! As family members, let’s make sure we are participating in a family culture where we are building deeper relationships! This will overflow into our mission.

Time: 35-60 min. 

1. Split everyone into pairs. Recommendation: Inter-generational pairs (2 min)
2. Ask a fun question for pairs to discuss. Example: You are planning a party for your friends based off a mutual interest of your pair. What is that interest and what will the party be like? (5 min)
3. Ask a personal question. Example: What is a question you would like those close to you to ask you more often? Discuss why with partner. (5-7 min)
4. Do a listening exercise. Have each person share for 5 min answering the prompt: “Tell me about yourself.”  Each partner will will listen without speaking or asking questions while the other shares. After each person shares, the listener will share three details that stood out to them about the other’s story. Idea: Talk to all pairs before and after about the importance of being a good listener and how it connects to a life of mission. (15-25 min)
5. Have partners pray for each other. Depending on gathering, some simple instructions on how to pray for each other may be very helpful. (5-15 min)
